What was formerly a 2 car garage concrete slab, was transformed into this warm and inviting living space. Each board of plain, white pine flooring underwent a painstaking metamorphosis utilizing a three stain process. A bookcase acts as a room divider. The dining table was constructed from a small 200-year-old barn door. When I stripped off multiple layers of lead paint, the wood came alive and seemed to breathe. The wall unit was built from scrap wood and white birch. Floor to ceiling curtains were custom made in Europe. The project took 30 days, start to finish.

Hajenius, a landmark cigar emporium in the center of Amsterdam, is celebrating its 100th year (2014) on the Rokin, the main thoroughfare leading form Central Station. Its distinctive red awnings are a visual footprint upon the cityscape. I was commissioned to design a poster for the occasion and came up with 7 variations. We tracked down the original blueprints of the building from the city archives and used those as our starting point. The overlaying blue element is the concentric ring canals of Amsterdam. 3 are shown here.

My fine art prints were selected to grace bottles of Marsetti Wines of Italy for import into the U.S. market. Located just outside Sondrio, the Marsetti vineyard spreads over 7.5 hectares in Italy's most northern wine growing region. The original prints are woodcuts combined with silkscreen completed at AGA print studio in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Yacht builders will often times commission a work of art depicting the ship completed and give this as a gift to the owner. Our approach is not traditional. We aim for a cool, hi-tech aesthetic that reflects an industry on the cutting edge of technology. A Diptych is a 2 panel painting. With this format we are able to personalize a work to a greater degree, adding visual elements such as: where a ship is flagged or cruises combined with visual elements of ownership. Materials used in the final product: glass and steel.

A major shipbuilder invited us to consider the creation of small desk items to be used as promotional gifts following sales meetings. We came up with the idea of a paperweight made of stainless steel, glass, and wood highlighting their newest naval vessels. Hand-crafted customized boxes enhance each piece.
